Safety device. Automobile energy-absorbing box is located in some fragile structures at the front, back or side of the vehicle. It can be made of metal or plastic. It is mainly used to absorb and disperse the impact force in the event of collision, so as to reduce the risk of injury to vehicle occupants. Also called collision energy absorption box or buffer box.
