What are the methods of ammoniation treatment of straw?

(1) stacking method. On the ground, the straw is piled into a rectangular pile, covered with plastic film, and ammoniated by injecting ammonia source. The method has less investment and is suitable for large-scale production. It is convenient for stacking and taking straws, and it is suitable for use all the year round in the south and in the months with high temperature in the north. The disadvantage is that the plastic film is easy to be damaged, which makes ammonia escape and affects the ammoniation effect.

(2) Pit pool method. Make full use of the favorable conditions of high temperature season and fast ammoniation speed, and make ammoniated feed from ponds in the south and cellars in the north for winter use. Brick-concrete pit can be used for a long time, and it is convenient to fill straw; Feed is not harmed by insects and rats, threatened by disasters such as water and fire, and polluted by soil; Covering only needs plastic film, and the amount of film is small, which is an ideal ammoniation method for small and medium-sized farmers.

(3) ammoniation furnace method. In a closed and heat-insulated container, straw is quickly ammoniated by external energy heating. The ammoniation of straw by ammoniation furnace is not limited by climate and season, and generally it can be ammoniated for 24 hours in one furnace.

(4) ammoniated bag method. In high temperature season, farmers who keep fewer herbivorous livestock can ammoniate straw with plastic bags. This method is flexible and convenient, and no special equipment is needed. The disadvantage is that the dosage of ammoniated straw is small and the cost is relatively high; Plastic bags are easily damaged, so it is necessary to check the adhesion frequently.
