Kazakhs celebrate Gurbang Festival.
The main festivals celebrated by the Kazakhs are Mezze, Gurbon and Nawruz, the first two of which are festivals of Islamic origin.
Introduction to Gurbon:
Gurbon, which comes 70 days after Meatz, is known as the New Year of the Muslim calendar and is also called the Great Festival, which is grander than Meatz. The word "Gurban" is an Arabic translation meaning "sacrifice", so it is also called "Eid al-Adha". In Islam, it is said that the Prophet Ibrahim dreamed of Allah and that Allah asked him to slaughter his own son in order to test his loyalty, and that when his son Isma'il bowed down to obey his orders and Ibrahim was ready to carry them out, Allah asked him to slaughter a sheep instead.
Islam, based on this legend, prescribes the slaughter of animals on December 10 of the Islamic calendar every year as a sacrifice to Allah. During the Qur'an festival, every house is cleaned, every family prepares baulshak (fried fruit), oil cakes and various kinds of snacks, and rich people slaughter sheep, cows or camels for guests or gifts. It is traditional not to tie the legs of the sheep when slaughtering them. According to the legend, the sheep slaughtered is the animal that rides to heaven, and if you tie the legs, you can't walk, and you can't go to heaven.
Slaughtered and cut into large pieces to cook, cooked on a large plate, guests come, the host will be in front of the guests with a knife into slices, warmly invited guests to eat meat, and please drink a bowl of broth.
