Introduction of Dubai Metro

Dubai Metro is the longest unmanned urban rapid rail transit system in the world invested by UAE. The planned Dubai subway has four lines: red, green, orange and blue. The first phase of the project includes the red line (52km) and the green line (23km), which were completed and put into operation in September 2009 and March 20 10 respectively. The intercity railway project led by Dubai municipal government aims to solve the serious traffic congestion problem in Dubai and make Dubai a golden city for business and leisure in the region. The total investment of the project is about $3.3 billion.
