The definition of Wushu Nakauchi Isao?

I said what is internal strength?

I'm afraid the most mysterious place of China Wushu is the so-called "internal strength". On the one hand, it is a mysterious legend since ancient times, on the other hand, it is the legendary contrast of martial arts novels, which makes this thing called "internal strength" become the core and most important part of traditional martial arts. It even makes people feel that as long as they practice "internal strength", they will have some magical functions and powers beyond common sense and even nature, and they will be invincible. The real source of strength of China Wushu is the "internal strength" of this generation.

I remember hearing people describe how powerful a martial artist is before and saying, "This man has kung fu and internal strength!" " It can be seen that the power of "internal strength" is deeply recognized by Chinese people. Not only China people, but also foreigners have heard of the reputation of "internal strength" in China's kungfu. Isn't there a story that western boxers and wrestlers should make clear the rules before fighting with China martial arts players, so that China players are not allowed to use "internal skills" such as "hitting things from a distance", "penetrating in the dark" and "stabbing people in the dark"?

It is precisely because of these mysterious cloaks that many martial arts beginners have some inexplicable yearning and yearning for "internal skills". Even some people are attracted by this mysterious "internal skill" and those magical effects before joining martial arts. I don't know how many people will be eager to ask the master before long: "When will you teach me internal skills?" However, with the passage of time and in-depth practice, most people will find that there is no so-called mysterious "internal strength" that they tried at the beginning, or that the internal strength taught by the master is not as magical and powerful as they imagined and legendary. Because of this, people who practice traditional martial arts have completely different views on internal strength. Some people hold a categorically negative attitude towards "internal strength", thinking that the legendary "internal strength" is just one of the products of long-term mysterious creation and self-deception in martial arts; Others hold a positive attitude towards the theory of internal strength, but once someone asks what internal strength is and what it is, they can only be vague and difficult to answer. So does traditional martial arts have internal strength? What is internal strength? What is the essence of internal work? How to practice internal strength?

First of all, it can be said for sure that the internal strength in traditional Wushu does exist. Then what is internal strength? What is the specific definition of internal strength? From the name, it seems easy to understand that the so-called internal strength is naturally an achievement method to improve the internal function and function of the human body through exercise or from internal strength exercise. From this point of view, any movement of human muscles, bones, fascia, nerves, viscera, qi and blood, meridians, qi pulse and even thoughts in a "inside-out" or "inside-out" way can be called internal strength. However, the styles and concepts of different schools of traditional Wushu are very different, and the training methods of "internal strength" taught by different schools are not the same in form, theory and method, and they all have different emphasis and training requirements. There are also great differences in the achievement forms of different schools of traditional Wushu. Some sects exist in boxing in a relatively independent form and system. Because their existence in the whole martial arts or boxing system is relatively independent and dominant, it is easy to identify and identify. In other schools, especially the so-called internal boxing, many techniques are hidden in boxing movements or boxing routines, which is the so-called "combination of boxing and kung fu". Many boxing moves have their own special significance and exercise value, but the subtle essentials and specific practice methods need to be discovered by a master or a wise man, but this is often overlooked. Because of this, the meaning of "internal strength" in the eyes of the world is vague and uncertain, and it is impossible to determine the specific concept of "internal strength" in a unified and standard way. In fact, different types of martial arts have different understandings of the definition of the name "Internal Skill". Therefore, in order to clarify what is internal strength, we must first clearly classify various forms of "internal strength". Only by comparing and analyzing the similarities and differences of various "internal skills" from different aspects can we truly understand the essence of internal skills or what internal skills are practiced.

Personally, I think that the internal training methods in various kinds and schools of traditional Wushu can be roughly divided into three categories, namely, internal strength and strength (internal strength), internal body training (internal strength) and internal strength cultivation (internal training or internal strength cultivation). The following is based on personal understanding, try to analyze their basic legal characteristics.

(a), strong internal strength and strong kung fu (internal strength)

The so-called internal strength kung fu is a skill to stimulate and exercise the muscles, fascia, bones and internal organs in the body with high intensity through breathing and corresponding limb movements, so as to maximize the functions of these body tissues. This kind of internal strength kung fu can basically be divided into two training methods: "Qi and blood surge" and "relaxing muscles and pulling bones".

Qi and blood pumping is to pump up Qi and blood with specific breathing and breathing methods (usually swallowing, swallowing or spraying) combined with the elastic transformation of muscles to strengthen muscles and bones. This kind of martial arts can not only strengthen muscle strength, but also exercise a certain fighting ability through elastic expansion, so folk kung fu such as "golden bell jar" and "iron cloth shirt" should be practiced more. Other sects, such as Dougong, Eighteen Arhats, King Kong Arhats, etc., are also representatives of this method.

The kung fu of stretching tendons and pulling bones is the kung fu of stretching and twisting limbs to pull bones and muscles, thus enhancing the strength of bones and muscles. As the saying goes, "the strength is great when the tendons are long", and this kind of martial arts can exert its strength to the maximum extent. Although it doesn't depend on any external instruments, it's amazing to practice successfully. The so-called kung fu that can "increase divine power" in Yijinjing is this kind of achievement method, and the most widely known is the twelve major achievements of Yijinjing. Others such as Xiong Yijin Jing, Wu Yijin Jing, Omega Supreme Gong, Dali, etc. , all belong to this achievement method.

In addition to the above two basic types of Neizhuang Kung Fu, there is also a training method of Neizhuang Kung Fu called "rubbing" in Yijinjing. Compared with the breathing, breathing, breathing, adjusting breath and muscle tightness mentioned above, it is mild at first, but it can be practiced to the bone, strengthen internal strength and external strength, which is a new way to practice internal strength kung fu. Yijinjing The thirteen stages of kneading skill and internal skill taught by Bao Ding, a famous modern psychologist (the thirteen stages of internal skill of Taibao) are such representatives.

In recent years, Ma Shengli's 48-hour self-defense technique has been widely circulated in the society, with a wide influence, claiming that there are tens of thousands of learners. Many practitioners will ask why these two seemingly simple skills, "high-frequency surge" and "deep stimulation", can produce very good results in short-term training, with full strength, great strength, enhanced muscle strength and enhanced anti-strike ability. In fact, as long as we compare these two techniques with traditional internal kung fu, we can see that although these two techniques are simple, they actually condense the two most basic and core training methods in traditional internal kung fu. "High-frequency drum" is a qi and blood drum, and "deep stimulation" is a traditional kung fu of stretching tendons and pulling bones. These two methods are actually the products of the modernization and scientific transformation of traditional Neizhuang Kung Fu, which makes people feel that the methods are simple and effective.

In the traditional martial arts schools, various self-contained internal strength methods are everywhere to carry out special targeted training. Such as various versions of Yijinjing, Dougong, Wang, Luohangong, and Mixed Yuan-Yi Qigong. And many famous boxing routines or movements also include this kind of practice method of combining internal strength with kung fu. For example, the squat frame of Bajiquan, the skill boxing frame of Cangzhou Kung Fu Gate, and the iron boxing of Nanpai Hongjia are all internal strength boxing methods that regulate breathing, nourish viscera, strengthen muscles and bones, and maintain strength; The three-body style of Xingyiquan and the mixed pile of Dachengquan all have the practice methods and connotations of pulling out tendons and bones.

In addition to the above boxing methods, the school of Zhang Changzhen (Drunken Zhang San) discovered in the magazine Wu Soul in recent years is also an excellent internal strength kung fu. Its system is perfect and its training method is unique. It is really the essence of traditional internal training method, which is very valuable and I personally like it.

(2), practice the whole body kung fu (internal strength)

I heard a story before about a student learning boxing from his teacher. Xi felt bitter for several days, saying that the teacher said, "They all say that we practice internal boxing and internal boxing, but I stand on the stump every day and put on airs." When will you teach me internal skills? " The teacher replied, "all the internal skills you want are in the pile, in the boxing rack." As long as the pile stands well and the shelf is straight, the internal strength will naturally be there. "

Many kinds of boxing in traditional Wushu, especially the so-called internal boxing (in fact, there is no distinction between internal and external boxing, and many so-called external boxing also contain similar technical essentials), pay great attention to boxing strength, especially practicing boxing and hitting people. This kind of overall strength is a reasonable internal structure and dynamic mode formed through training, as well as the overall strength issued by highly coordinated external movements and nerve reflexes, which is usually called "internal strength". Many beginners of internal boxing can't stand on the stump with peace of mind and honestly practice boxing, but hope that the teacher can have some profound "internal skills." As long as they practice this kind of "internal strength", it is natural for them to show their internal strength. But what often disappoints them is that most teachers will give them the same answer as the teacher of a student mentioned above: if you want to practice "internal strength", you have to practice boxing in a down-to-earth manner.

Traditionally, the so-called internal boxing is a typical boxing method that combines boxing and kung fu. In order to obtain and practice the required strength and internal strength, many internal strength training essentials of various parts of the body are designed accordingly in boxing, so as to adjust and train to form a reasonable internal structure and dynamic stereotypes. In fact, the internal training method of internal boxing refers to all kinds of details and essentials contained in boxing method, boxing potential and action. It's useless to learn boxing, especially within the family. Only by truly understanding the requirements and significance of boxing internal strength training methods, and putting these details and essentials into every movement of standing piles and boxing, can we practice whole body harmony. As long as these details are truly achieved and put in place in the standing pile boxing, then every boxing posture you practice is practicing "internal strength".

In this sense, in order to cultivate, exercise and form a complete family, every detail requirement and action essentials of the reasonable frame structure and dynamic mode of the so-called Neijia Boxing is a kind of "internal strength" exercise of the body.

For example, Tai Chi spreads deficiency and strong collar, including chest pull-back, heavy shoulders and elbows, loose waist and buttocks, up and down penetration, and internal and external integration; Xingyiquan's three tops, three buckles, three circles, three hugs, three swings, three songs, three stands, three sensitivities, six rivers, eight essentials and nine numbers; Bagua palm collapse, buckle, lift, top, wrap, loosen, hang, shrink and other strategies; Six skills required for each psychological boxing, such as chicken leg, dragon body, bear arm, eagle catching, tiger hugging and thunder; The mental excuses and round support in the pile of Italian boxing are all internal strength of the whole body. Can we not call it internal work?

(3) Internal cultivation (internal cultivation or internal alchemy)

Compared with the first two types of kungfu, which mostly belong to martial arts, internal kungfu is more inclined to cultivate and understand the potential mechanism of human body, mind and life, that is, the technique of cultivating truth and understanding Tao. This kind of kung fu is represented by Taoist alchemy, other methods such as tantric practice and Indian yoga, as well as various schools of practice, such as introduction, breathing, fetal breathing, qi-moving, meditation and meditation. , belongs to this way.

From ancient times to the present, the traditional cultivation credits are divided into five schools: Buddhism, Confucianism, medicine and martial arts. All kinds of internal training kungfu were originally independent of martial arts techniques and formed their own system, but martial arts also borrowed from other internal training techniques, such as meridians, qi and blood, spiritual guidance and so on. For example, Tai Chi teaches the technique of guiding qi pulse by breathing and thoughts, and the work of abdominal varus; Xingyiquan has three layers of truth and three layers of breathing; Inner strength of the mind and mind boxing, etc. , is not only the combination of boxing Nakauchi Isao practice and internal strength practice. In addition, there are many martial arts practitioners who practice both boxing and Taoism. By sharpening the skills of fighting, we can transform our physical and mental temperament, and then realize the meaning of the essence of life, which is the so-called "martial arts into the Tao."

Among the above three methods, strengthening the body from the inside out is the method to strengthen the muscles and bones, and strengthening the body from the inside out, thus enhancing strength; The internal strength of kung fu is to connect the whole body, form a six-in-one and harmonious unity, and exercise the boxing skills of the whole family; The internal cultivation of kung fu is to explore the ultimate realm of life universe and the unity of man and nature through the internal cultivation and recuperation of self-body and mind.

Although the three kinds of kungfu have different emphases, they can all be called "internal strength" from the content and purpose of practicing kungfu. Through classification and induction, the essence of the so-called "internal strength" is very clear, and the specific object is defined. In fact, internal strength is not mysterious. As long as you practice boxing in a down-to-earth manner and accumulate over time, your mental temperament will inevitably change completely. Kung fu is here, inside and outside are integrated, and "internal strength" is naturally on your upper body!
