What is the main content of Tao Te Ching?
The original text of Tao Te Ching is divided into two parts. The first part is from chapter 1 to chapter 37, and the next part is from chapter 38 to chapter 8 1. The whole content of Tao Te Ching mainly expounds the profound meanings of "Tao" and "virtue", which represents Laozi's philosophical thought. The "Tao" described by Laozi is to clarify his world view from the perspective of ontology, including the philosophical principles of life and cultivation methods. He believes that Tao is invisible, but it is the origin of the universe, and everything is born because of its movement and change. The basic connotation of "virtue" is a characteristic of the Tao of noumenon in all things in the world, that is, the concrete embodiment. Laozi's description of "Tao" and "virtue" is an analysis of the various connotations of the universe, all things, human beings and themselves from a multi-level perspective.
