Famous People in Chinese History
1. Lu Xun's barber store haircut
When he was teaching at Xiamen University, Mr. Lu Xun went to a barber store to get a haircut. The barber didn't know Mr. Lu Xun, and when he saw his simple clothes, he thought he must not have much money, so he didn't take it seriously at all. Mr. Lu Xun was not only not angry, but after the haircut, he casually took out a large sum of money and gave it to the barber - far more than he could afford. The barber was delighted, and his face was immediately filled with smiles.
After a period of time, Lu Xun went to get a haircut again, and the barber was so happy to see this that he immediately took out all of his skills, and with humility written all over his face, he "worked slowly and meticulously" to get a haircut. But then, Lu Xun did not show again, but took out the money one by one to count to the barber, a penny did not give more.
The barber was puzzled: "Sir, you gave like that last time, how can you give like this today?" Lu Xun smiled: "You last time sloppy geography, I'm sloppy to give; this time you seriously geography, I'll seriously give." The barber listened to the great embarrassment.
2, Lu Xun speech anecdote

Once when he returned to Beiping from Shanghai, he was invited to give a lecture on "Literature and Force" at the North Normal University.
Some of his classmates had already read a lot of articles attacking him in the newspaper and were very upset for him. In his lecture, he said, "Some people say that I came to Peking this time to snatch rice bowls and 'make a comeback'; but please rest assured that I am going to 'make a comeback' soon." A remark that instantly drew laughter from the room.
3, Zhou Enlai "for the rise of China and study"
12 years old, Zhou Enlai left his hometown, came to the northeast. At that time, the Northeast was the focus of the imperialist powers in China. When he got off the bus in Shenyang, his uncle, who had come to pick him up, pointed to a busy, bustling area and told him, "Don't go to that place to play if you have nothing to do!"
"Why?" Zhou Enlai asked in disbelief. "That's a foreign concession, it's bad if you get into trouble, there's no place to talk about it!" "Then why?" Zhou Enlai broke the pot to ask to the end. "Why? China's not revitalized!" Uncle sighed and said nothing more.
On a windy Sunday, Zhou Enlai broke into the tenement with a close classmate behind his uncle's back. This area is really very different from the rest of the world: the streets are brightly lit and bustling, and most of the people walking on both sides of the street are yellow-haired, white-skinned foreigners with big noses and powerful police officers.
Just as Zhou Enlai and his classmates were looking left and right, they suddenly realized that a group of people were gathered in front of the police station and were shouting something. They rushed over and saw a ragged woman in the crowd crying about something, while a big foreigner stood proudly at the side. They found out that the woman's relative had been run over by a foreigner's car, and that she had hoped that the Chinese police bureau would back her up and punish the foreigner.
Instead of punishing the foreigner, the Chinese police reprimanded her. The Chinese onlookers clenched their fists. But who dares to do anything in a foreign concession? They could only persuade the unfortunate woman. It was only then that Zhou Enlai truly realized what his uncle meant when he said, "China will not be revitalized".
After returning from the concession, Zhou Enlai was often seen alone in deep thought, but no one knew what he was thinking. It was only after listening to Zhou Enlai's speech in a class on cultivating one's moral character that the mystery was solved.
That day, in the class, Principal Wei asked the students a question: "Why do you study?" The students answered enthusiastically. Some said, "To study for the sake of understanding." Some said, "To be an official and study." Others said, "To earn money." "Read for food."......
Zhou Enlai had been sitting quietly, not rushing to speak. Principal Wei noticed, gestured for silence, and named him to answer. Zhou Enlai stood up and answered clearly and firmly: "Study for the rise of China!"
Principal Wei was energized by what he heard! How could he not have expected that a twelve or thirteen year old child would have such an ambition and mindset? His eyes widened and he asked again, "Say it again, why do you study?" "For the rise of China and study!" Zhou Enlai's powerful words, won the applause of Principal Wei: "Good wow! For the rise of China! Those who aspire should emulate Zhou Sheng ah! Hahaha!"
