Chengdu Taipingyuan used to be a cemetery

Chengdu Taipingyuan used to be a cemetery. Chengdu Taiping Garden, formerly known as "Taiping Fudi", is a large cemetery located in Wuhou District, Chengdu. Established in 1951, it was one of the earlier cemeteries in Chengdu and one of the first cemeteries planned by the Chengdu municipal government. Taipingyuan used to be a traditional cemetery, mainly used for the burial of the bodies and ashes of the deceased. According to the official introduction of Taiping Garden, there are several areas and graveyards in the cemetery, including graveyards for different religious beliefs such as Christianity, Buddhism and Islam, as well as different types of graveyards such as common graveyards and celebrity graveyards. In recent years, Taiping Garden has carried out upgrading and greening projects, constructing parks, landscaped areas and other functional areas, transforming it from a traditional cemetery to a comprehensive park-oriented park, while also preserving a part of the cemetery. At present, Taiping Garden has become one of the famous parks and tourist attractions in Chengdu, attracting a large number of tourists and citizens to visit and relax.
