"SATA Mode" sets whether SATA RAID is turned on. The default value is IDE, that is, SATA RAID is not turned on. Only when SATA mode is set to IDE, on-chip serial ATA and serial ATA Port0/ 1 mode are optional. "On-chip serial ATA" is to select the working mode of SATA controller: 1, and disable is to disable SATA devices, the default value. Turn on this function when using serial SATA hard disk; 2, Auto, BIOS automatically detects existing SATA devices; 3. In combination mode, serial SATA hard disk is mapped to IDE 1 or IDE2 port to simulate IDE settings. At this time, select a location in "Serial ATA Port0/ 1 mode" to enable SATA devices; 4. Enhanced mode, which allows all connected IDE and SATA devices to be used and supports up to 6 ATA devices. In "serial ATA Port0/ 1 mode", a SATA device should be set as the main SATA device; 5. SATA only, only SATA devices can be used.

Although the SATA hard disk itself does not need to set the master-slave relationship, this problem should be considered when using serial SATA hard disk and other IDE devices on one machine at the same time. For example, when installing Windows XP system, set "on-chip serial ATA" to "combination mode", and install the optical drive in the "main" position of IDE 1 interface. Then when serial ATA port 0 mode is set to secondary master or secondary slave respectively, you can see that the optical drive appears in the position of IDE channel 0 master or IDE channel 1 slave. Then set the boot to CD boot and save it. Put the Windows XP installation CD into the CD-ROM drive and follow the prompts to complete the system installation step by step. However, if "serial ATA port 0 mode" is set to "primary master", serial SATA hard disk and optical drive will not be detected; When set to "Primary Master", SATA hard disk appears in "IDE Channel 0 Slave" position, and the optical drive still cannot detect it. This is because in this mode, the serial SATA hard disk is simulated as an IDE setting, which conflicts with the optical drive connected with the "master" bit of the IDE 1 interface. Once the SATA hard disk is mapped to the IDE interface, other IDE settings cannot be used on the IDE interface. If "Enhanced Mode" mode is adopted, whether "SSATA 0 Master" or "SATA 1 Master" is selected, it will not affect the optical drive. When installing, input the settings according to the actual situation of the hardware.
