The author of "Flaming Ponies" is Li Fanggui, "Flaming Ponies", also known as "Selling Water", the traditional Qin opera, originally created for the Qing Dynasty playwright Li Fanggui's Bowls cavity scripts, one of the "Ten Greats", and in the form of a Bowls cavity shadow play, which was adapted into a Qin opera. The Flaming Pony has been passed down for a long time, and there are many versions of it. In addition to the performance of this play, the folding plays such as "Selling Water", "Fighting Road" and "Sacrificing the Pile" are often performed separately, and "Table Flowers" and "Appreciating the Scenery" are even more popular and famous singing parts.

Expansion: After the play was made into the first color film of Qinqiang by Changchun Film Studio in 1958, it was even more influential. Li Fanggui (1748-1810), commonly known as Li XIII, was a playwright of the Qing Dynasty, with the character Lin Yi, and the names Qiuyan and Vulture Peak. His ancestral home was Huazhou, Shaanxi (now Huazhou District, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province), and he was born in Li XIII Village, Lindian Town, Linwei District, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province.
