There is also a Chinese medicine herbarium and a medicinal botanical garden.

among them, the teaching and research section of natural medicinal chemistry is an important part of the national key discipline of China Pharmaceutical University, the department of pharmacognosy is a national key discipline, and modern Chinese medicine and natural medicinal chemistry are the most important disciplines in Jiangsu Province. The college also has the Nanjing Key Laboratory of Traditional Chinese Medicine Compound and Quality Standard Research of the former New Drug Research and Management Center of the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
