How did the oldest official history book in China come into being?

In our country the earliest book was called "The Book", which was written around the fifth century before, and the traditional "Shangshu" (also known as the "Shangshu of the Present Language") was passed down by Fusheng. So now the oldest official history book can be said to be the Shangshu.

The Shangshu is regarded as one of the classics of Confucianism, and many of its contents are major historical events and official documents of the ancient times, as well as important documents for people to refer to when studying the history of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, especially the early Western Zhou Dynasty. The earliest Shangshu is said to have consisted of one hundred articles, compiled by Confucius and supplemented by later generations, but this is still a subject of great debate in the academic world.

It has been a struggle for the Shangshu to survive. The Shangshu in the present language was hidden by Fusheng when Qin Shi Huang burned the books, and the only 28 surviving manuscripts were reorganized in the early years of the Western Han Dynasty and written in the official script that was common at the time. There are two kinds of "Shangshu in Ancient Texts": one is the remnants of the ancient version of the Shangshu discovered one after another during the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, and the other is the one forged by Mei Ze, a native of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Both of them are of great value for research nowadays.

After the unification of China, Emperor Qin Shi Huang issued the "Book Burning Decree", which prohibited the collection of books by the people, and all the books collected by the people, such as "Poetry", "The Book", and "The Hundred Schools of Thought", had to be sent to the official government for centralized burning.

During the Western Han Dynasty, it was rumored that when King Lu Gongwang demolished a section of the wall of the former residence of Confucius, he found another copy of the "Book of Shang" written in the script of the pre-Qin Dynasty, which was called the "Book of Shang" in ancient Chinese. Most of the Shangshu, which has been passed down for more than 2,000 years nowadays, was compiled and revised according to this text dedicated by Mei Ze.

Shangshu has a lot of articles, from the Qin Shihuang burned the book, left behind very little, the back is also found, compiled, organized to have today's "Shangshu" can be said that the birth of this part is not easy.
