Differences between Iconology and Typology in Character Images

Different definitions have different classification basis.

1. Different definitions: iconology studies the types of characters in literature, aesthetic characteristics, the relationship between characters and psychology, and the relationship between characters and culturology. Typology studies the ways and methods of human classification.

2. Different classification basis: Iconology mainly classifies people according to their appearance, personality and behavior, while Typology mainly classifies people according to their age, gender and occupation.
