Development of Blankets in China
The development of blanket industry in China is like a prairie fire. It has developed rapidly in recent fifteen years, and has become the world's blanket production base, ranking first in the world in terms of output. In the early 1980s, the state-owned Raschel blanket manufacturers, represented by Meiya, Mudanjiang Blanket Factory and Anniversary Blanket Factory, introduced more than 20 Japanese automatic production lines, started the upgrading of China blanket products, and gradually replaced the previous wool blankets with Raschel blankets. In the early 1990s, Taiwan-funded enterprises of acrylic blankets, represented by Kunqing in Guangdong and Huang Du in Shanghai, made blankets according to the process of producing plush fabrics, which greatly improved the feel, luster and brightness of acrylic blankets, and the investment in production lines was significantly lower than that in Raschel blanket production lines, which made more private enterprises invest in blanket products. In the coastal areas of Guangdong and Zhejiang, industrial bases have been formed and good profits have been made. 1At the end of 997, Hebei Baoding Meiya Textile Co., Ltd. took the lead in setting up a factory in the north and began to produce acrylic blankets, but the result was unexpected. Within three years, dozens of blanket factories have been built in Lixian County, Laixian County and Anxin County in Baoding area, and they have developed rapidly, forming a large-scale production base, and the output has jumped to the forefront of the country, occupying most of the domestic market share, making coastal manufacturers turn to foreign exports. However, in recent years, Hebei blanket enterprises have also shifted from domestic sales to foreign markets, making China blankets a world leader. The raw material has gradually changed from acrylic fiber to polyester fiber, and the process has been improved very quickly, occupying an increasing share in foreign markets. The blanket industry in Japan, Korea, Hungary and other countries is gradually declining. Acrylic blanket manufacturers gradually changed from manual embossing to automatic flat screen printing, and the quality and quantity of products improved rapidly. For example, Zhen 'ai in Zhejiang and Shenghao in Shandong have an annual output of about 20,000 tons of finished products, and their exports to Middle Eastern countries are the largest. In Jiangsu, the manufacturers represented by Changshu Jinxiu, Taicang Qin Yi and Nantong Huayin Plush Products Co., Ltd. mainly export to Japan, and Nantong Huayin's composite carpets are very popular in the Japanese market. In Heilongjiang, China-Austria Carpet Industry in Mudanjiang, Yajia Carpet in Jiamusi and Golden Carpet for the anniversary are mostly single-layer carpets, which are exported to Russia in large quantities.
