What are the nine bowls of dishes in Taizhou?

Sanmen traditional folk banquet has a long history. People usually treat guests with "nine bowls", so it is called "nine bowls" because of its composition. There are also four pots and eight dishes for banquets of wealthy families or large families, with sixteen countersignatures and thirty-six countersignatures.

"Nine bowls" is the most common banquet for entertaining guests in our county. Generally, this banquet consists of nine bowls, and the menu is: meatballs, braised pork, fish dumplings, peanuts, fish, bamboo shoots, tofu, egg shop and chicken. Meatballs, braised pork slices, fish dumplings and chicken are essential dishes in the nine bowls, while the other five bowls are different according to the richness of conditions. "Nine bowls" are common for ordinary people to entertain guests. Nine bowls of dishes, delicacies, rich nutrition, reasonable collocation, suitable for all ages, full of color and flavor. It embodies the pragmatic spirit of three ancient people who treat guests without luxury and ostentation, but seek benefits and self-frugality.
