2. After Qu Yuan threw himself into the river, people often threw food into the river for Qu Yuan to eat, but every time the fish in the river were eaten, so people dried the bamboo leaves, wrapped them in rice balls, tied them with ropes and finally threw them into the river. Fish are afraid to go near this sharp thing, which is the origin of zongzi.
On the morning of Dragon Boat Festival every year, I always make zongzi with my grandma. I roll bamboo leaves into a cone first, then put half of the prepared glutinous rice, then add my favorite bean paste stuffing, and then put a spoonful of glutinous rice to make it flat. Then, I sealed my mouth with extra bamboo leaves and tied it tightly with straw rope. Finally, put it in the pot. After a while, it smells good and makes my mouth water.
Grandma takes out the zongzi one by one, just like a little cone-shaped doll, which looks delicious. I quickly untied the straw rope and tasted it. The smell of bean paste suddenly filled the whole mouth. Jiaozi wrapped by myself is sweeter than honey!
I like zongzi, which symbolizes great patriotism!
