What are the customs of Kazak people?
Kazak costumes have strong national characteristics. "Tumek" is a hat worn by Kazakh men in winter. It has two ear fans and a long tail fan at the back, which can keep out the snow and keep out the cold. The inner layer of the hat is generally made of black lamb skin or fox skin, and the surface is made of colorful silks and satins. I also wear a dome called Polk in winter, which is usually made of otter skin, mink skin, fox skin and sheepskin.
In winter, men wear tanned fur jackets or trousers with wool inward, and fur coats (covered with cloth) sewn with wolf skins, fox skins or other precious animal skins. The belts are mostly made of cowhide, with different widths and inlaid with ornaments such as gold, silver, coral, pearls and precious stones.
In summer, elderly Kazakh men generally wear soft leather boots and rubber shoes to protect themselves. Young people wear boots. Hunters wear high-heeled soft boots that are convenient for wading through mountains and rivers. In addition, men in cold areas also wear warm felt boots.
