Wei Ying Taibao in Shizitou Temple

The Taibao Temple in Shitou Village, the old town of Zhangpu County is dedicated to Zheng He.

Shitou Village, Jiuzhen Town, Zhangpu County, Fujian Province, formerly known as Huangjiazhai, or Shitou Fort. It was a small castle built by an island during Jiajing period of Ming Dynasty. There is a Taibao Hall outside the castle wall, with a width of 1 1 m and a depth of 22 meters. It is divided into two parts. In front of the temple, Wang Zun Xie 'an, the God of Tian Xuan, and Xie Xuan, the Prince, were worshiped. The statue is not big, about 30-60 cm high. On the left side of the temple are three statues of Wang, Chi, Wu and Fan, and on the right side are three statues of Taibao. The sitting statue of Taibao is about 160cm high, slightly larger than the real person, with red face and no need to spread its wings on both sides of the crown.

This temple should have been built in the ten thousand years of the Ming Dynasty. It was destroyed when it moved to the boundary in the first year of Qing Dynasty. Kangxi was restored in the eighteenth year, and Qianlong was revived in the seventh year. The main god in the temple is Xie Xuanxuan's uncle, who sacrifices to the gods and so on. Later, the villagers gradually worshipped Tai Baogong. Although it is on the side, most people who enter the temple do not pay homage to the positive god, but face the side of Taibao Gong, which is also the nearby lion-headed Taibao Temple. Taibaogong's birthday is 10, 16, which is the biggest festival in the village every year, and the scale of celebration exceeds any folk festival.

In addition, there are four temples in the southeast of Zhangpu County: Ganlin Temple, Maiyuanpu Mazu Tempel, Wenshan Ancient Temple in Yu Xia and Shentu Bajiao Temple. Ganlin Temple was built in the period of Taiping and Xingguo in the Northern Song Dynasty, and it is dedicated to gods, second marshal Zhao Kang, Daogong, Guanyin Bodhisattva Xie An and Xie Xuan. In front of the central hall, there is a black face. This temple has a long history and is well preserved. About 5 kilometers away from the Stone Temple, the ancient temple of Yuxia Wenshan is also dedicated to mysterious gods, including Wang Ma, Guan Di, Li Fushun and a Taibao. Maiyuanbao Temple, located two kilometers east of Zhangpu County, is dedicated to God. In modern times, Mazu was worshipped, with Tai Po Gong on the right and Guanyin Bodhisattva and land on the left. Among them, there are two statues of Taibao, one big and one small, both of which are red faces, one hand with a melon mallet and one hand with a mace.
