Suzhou four famous gardens

There are Lion Forest, Canglang Pavilion, Humble Administrator's Garden and Lingering Garden.

1, Lion Forest: Lion Forest was built from Yuan Dynasty to Zhenger Year (1342), and it is one of the representatives of classical private garden buildings in China. There are many stone peaks in the garden, which are shaped like lions, hence the name. Lion Forest Garden is a temple garden with compact layout, full of Zen and natural beauty, which combines Buddhist thought and traditional gardening techniques.

2. Canglang Pavilion: The history of Canglang Pavilion can be traced back to the Qing Dynasty and the Northern Song Dynasty, and it is one of the oldest gardens in Suzhou. This used to be the residence of the famous Han Shizhong, covering an area of 1.08 hectares. There are buildings and landscapes in the park, such as Canglang Pavilion, Yin Xinshi House and Ming Dow Hall. , showing the style of gardens in Song Dynasty.

3. Humble Administrator's Garden: Humble Administrator's Garden was built in the early years of Zheng De in Ming Dynasty, and it is the representative of private gardens in Jiangnan. The whole park is centered on water, surrounded by mountains and rivers, with pavilions, lush flowers and trees, and has strong characteristics of Jiangnan water town. Humble Administrator's Garden was listed as a world cultural heritage in 2000, and together with Lingering Garden, it is known as the "Double Gems in Suzhou Gardens".

4. Lingering in the Garden: Lingering in the Garden was built in the 21st year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty, and it is the private garden of Tai Pu Temple, Master Shao Qingxu. The whole park is divided into four parts, where visitors can enjoy four different landscapes: landscape, pastoral, mountain forest and garden. Lingering Garden, together with Humble Administrator's Garden, was expanded into a world cultural heritage in 2000.
