Uncrowned: as the As the oldest soccer team in Europe and the world, the Netherlands, known as "The Uncrowned King", is the most popular team. Orange is the color of the country, but also the label of the team. In the 1970s, the Dutch soccer team was the first in the world to introduce the pleasing style of all-work, all-defense, which attracted countless fans around the world, and the classic goal in the 1974 World Cup final is still remembered by the world's fans. They have reached the World Cup final round seven times, and won two consecutive runner-up in 1974 and 1978.

Star factory: The Dutch league is a big factory that produces stars, and the traditional trio of Ajax, Eindhoven and Feyenoord have produced countless stars for the Dutch national teams, making Dutch players an important force in European and world soccer, both historically and now. Today's Dutch national team has inherited an all-or-nothing style of play with an abundance of talented players. Since manager Basten took over, he has promoted a large number of newcomers from the domestic league, making the age composition of the national team younger and more reasonable. Van der Sar and Cocu sit at center back, supported by new talent in midfield such as Van der Vaart, while the forward line is still dominated by Fanny, Robben and Kuyt.

Group of Death: Although the Dutch have made it to the final round of the World Cup, they are in the same group as Argentina, Cote d'Ivoire and Serbia and Montenegro. Argentina is the favorite to win the championship, the strength of Serbia and Montenegro can not be underestimated, C?te d'Ivoire is a big black horse from Africa. The Orange will need a little better luck than they have lacked in the past if they are to have any chance of making it to the World Cup in Germany.
