Historical origin
After the "Luquan of Three Signs" in Ming Dynasty (1441-kloc-0/449), the Sino-Myanmar border war was frequent, and the entire Dehong border army gathered.
Because the loyalist troops were too far away from the rear front, in order to ensure the supply of weapons, the Ming army chose Husa, which was surrounded by mountains and had a very hidden terrain, to repair weapons on the spot, and implemented semi-militarized management of Husa and divided production according to villages. Since then, Husa has become an "arsenal" to defend the border defense in western Yunnan.
Since the Ming Dynasty, Achang craftsmen in Husa have continuously absorbed the Han nationality's weapon manufacturing technology, and with the creation of Achang nationality, a unique Achang Dao technology has been formed. It has been passed down from generation to generation and continues to this day.
During the Republic of China, the production of household knives flourished. Husa businessmen gathered and were very lively. The prosperity of tool export has brought economic and cultural prosperity to Husa, and there have been prosperous scenes of "five mountains and six temples", "six clubs and nine swings" and "nine towers and forty-seven towers".
social influence
Hu Sha Dao is not only regarded as a treasure by this nation because of its exquisite craftsmanship, but also deeply loved by Han, Dai, Jingpo, Yi, Tibetan, Bai and other ethnic groups nearby. Not only sold to Beijing, Tibet, Qinghai, Xinjiang, Gansu, Inner Mongolia, but also exported to Myanmar, Thailand, India and other countries.
Cultural anecdote
Achang people are not only good at knife work, but also love knife work very much. Every family has at least one long knife. When a young man gets married, he always carries a long knife, which makes him look dashing. This custom has continued. It is said that Achang people have a very special custom. When choosing a son-in-law, the woman's parents should not only look at the son-in-law's character and virtue, but also an important indicator is whether you can cut a knife.
