Expanded Information
Constituting a melody consists of two elements, the melodic line (or pitch line) and the rhythm. In a continuous melodic progression, various straight or curved progressions are formed due to the direction of pitch, and these progressions resemble the stretching or undulation of lines in a picture, so they are called melodic lines.
Tuning is a form of musical organization created by human beings in long-term musical practice. When the concept of modulation is elaborated, the center note of the modulation, the dominant, is often taken as the starting point and the end point, and the other tones are arranged in the form of a scale according to the order of their pitches, which is called the modal scale.
In tonal music, harmony has both a functional and a colorful meaning. The function of harmony refers to the stabilizing or destabilizing effect of each chord within the tonality, their movement and tendency characteristics, and the logical connection between them.
