Shantou, near Chaozhou, Fujian, is the birthplace of Mazu culture. For generations, women have been farming and men have been sailing. The man returned to the shore, only drinking tea and chatting. People who used to go out to sea (fishermen) lacked vitamins for a long time, so drinking tea can just prevent septicemia, but men who don't go out to sea now drink tea because they are lazy.

In the past, the iron anchors and rivets used on ships in South Guangdong were all made in Yangjiang, and the local knives were also famous: Yangjiang Eighteen Sons and Silver Eagle were world famous brands, and their international influence was no less than that of Wang Mazi and Zhang Xiaoquan. Now many controlled knives on the street are made in Yangjiang.
