How to make sweet potato powder?

Every autumn, rural people begin to dig sweet potatoes, but every household has a sweet potato, and there are many kinds, which many farmers can't finish. There was no place to put it at home, so I made starch from sweet potatoes, which was not only delicious but also convenient to store. It can be used to make meat, fried pork, fried crisp meat, or made into cold noodles, which is especially delicious. Here's how to make sweet potato powder:

Picking sweet potatoes

Step 1: Choose. After the sweet potato is dug back from the ground, clean up the soil on the surface first, clean up the sweet potato and remove the bad sweet potato and impurities. The whole process is purely artificial selection. It is best to choose sweet potato with red skin and white heart, and try to pick a bigger one.

Crushed sweet potato

Step 2: Crushing. Crush the selected sweet potatoes with a crusher, and then put the crushed sweet potatoes into a clean basin or bucket. Connect the water pipe and add water to it, not too sticky. If you want more sweet potato powder, you need to crush more raw sweet potatoes. Under normal circumstances, 10 kg sweet potato can produce about 1 kg powder. It depends on the variety and quality of sweet potato. The best sweet potato is the sweet potato with red skin and white heart, which has a high flour yield.

filter

Step 3: filter. Pour the mixture of clear water and sweet potato residue into the filter cloth for filtration. Don't pour too much at once. A bucket is enough. One person pours the sweet potato, and the other person is responsible for filtering in the shaker. The filtered sweet potato residue is added with clear water for secondary filtration, generally twice is enough. When all the crushed sweet potatoes in the filter cloth are sweet potato residues, the sweet potato residues are fished out and put into containers to feed livestock. The bucket prepared under the filter cloth is used to receive the filtered water-powder mixture. Repeat the above actions. When barrels and cylinders are full, cover them to prevent them from falling into the soil. Wait until the water in the jar and bucket settles to noon the next day, and drain the water in the jar and bucket, so that sweet potato powder will settle at the bottom of the jar and bucket. Under normal circumstances, there will be a deep yellow floating object on the surface, which is oil powder, and it will be discharged together. There will also be a yellow layer on the surface of sweet potato powder, which can be washed off with water.

natural drying

Step 4: Dry naturally. After the sweet potato powder is precipitated, shovel/dig it down with a spoon, spatula or hand, and put it into a dustpan cover prepared in advance. In order to prevent sticking to the dustpan cover, a layer of cloth should be placed under it, and care should be taken to shovel as much as possible.

natural drying

In the process of drying, always turn the sweet potato powder, so that it can be fully exposed to the sun and dry faster.

Late drying stage

In the later stage of drying, sweet potato powder will become smaller and smaller, showing small particle powder. Turn with chopsticks. Can you hear me? Sasha vujacic's voice, with the hand gently knead, will become powder, so basically is ok. If you feel that it is not dry enough, you can continue to do it until you are satisfied.
