The origin and development of Dai pottery-making technology

Folk handicrafts are an important part of the traditional culture of ethnic minorities and occupy a very important position in their production and life. Dai people are ingenious, especially good at making pottery, brocade, bamboo weaving, paper making, sugar pressing and other folk handicrafts. Dai pottery has a long history, which originated in the Neolithic Age and has a history of more than 3,000 years. Up to now, they still maintain the technique of slowly adding mud sticks to make pottery. Under the tide of global economic integration, traditional culture has been destroyed. As far as pottery technology is concerned, the crafts of other nationalities have either evolved into large-scale rapid production or disappeared in the long river of history, and pottery has been replaced by modern industrial products. In this context, the folk pottery-making technology of the Dai people continues in a flowing state, and it also presents a new development trend.
