Plum grafting method

A, grafting method

1. Time: plum grafting should be carried out at the right time. The best time is July in summer, or September in the fall can be budded. The specific time should be adjusted according to the local climate, so that the survival rate will be higher.2. Rootstock: you have to choose the right rootstock for grafting. You can use peach tree, plum or cherry. Cut it at about 6-10cm from the ground.3. Scion: You should choose a thick scion, about 7cm in length, and leave 5-7 buds. Graft as soon as possible after pruning, otherwise the water will evaporate.4. Treatment: Before grafting, cut a 3 cm long incision in the section of the rootstock, and a 3 cm cut at the bottom of the scion, but keep 2-3 buds.5. Grafting: Finally wrap the top of the scion by inserting the scion into the incision of the rootstock, aligning the formative layer, and then wrapping it.

Two, notes

After the grafting is completed, you need to see if it survives. If this grafting fails, you will have to graft it again.
