2023 Haixinsha Light Festival Time
As one of the three major lighting festivals in the world, Guangzhou International Lighting Festival has attracted nearly 100 million tourists in the past ten years, gradually becoming an important symbol of Guangzhou's humanistic spirit, and its international influence is constantly improving. This year's Light Festival is the first time to reopen offline after 2020. The theme of this festival is "Brilliant Yangcheng, Smart Future" in Xuanmeiwan District, and 25 groups of works are distributed in flower city square, Haixinsha Asian Games Park and Guang Zhouta.
Through lighting, LED, laser, video images, scene layout and other forms, advanced technologies such as large-scale light and shadow stage devices, 3D imaging, holographic projection and AR are used to create an immersive lighting feast integrating creativity, art, technology and culture. At 8 o'clock that night, a large-scale art light and shadow installation of Xuanmei Bay lasting 12 minutes was grandly unveiled at the sailing stage of Haixinsha Asian Games Park.
Performance content
The performance of the opening ceremony is divided into four chapters: Longteng Pearl River, Chapter 1: Wan Li Breeze, Chapter 2: Yu Hai Qing Ning, and Chapter 3: Times Bay Area. Based on the profound historical and humanistic heritage and legends of Lingnan, through the fantastic art of light and shadow, this paper tells the story of Guangzhou's surging red culture, Lingnan culture with a long history, Hayes culture that blends Chinese and foreign cultures, and innovative culture that dares to be the first.
At the same time, the unique Lingnan cultural elements, such as Wuyang, architecture, lion dance, Guang Cai and Guangxiu, are used to draw an elegant picture of Lingnan customs. It is worth mentioning that AR (Augmented Reality) visual content has become an important part of this light festival performance. Traditional cultural elements such as Yunlong, Suzaku, the rhinoceros horn cup of Nanyue King and Yunshan Zhushui are projected around Gwangju Tower, depicting the prosperity of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with modern light and shadow technology and creative vision.
