How many Tibetans are there?
1, Wei-Tibetan:
"Weizang" refers to Lhasa and Xigaze. The area also includes Ali, Shannan and some Linzhi and Naqu areas. Tibetans in this area are unified in dialect, history, politics, economy, military and culture, and are the core areas of Tibetan tradition. Tibetans living in this area are collectively called Wei-Zang Tibetans.
2. Kangba Tibetans:
Traditionally, the area east of Danda Mountain in Tibet is connected with Xichang, Ya 'an and Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan, and the area in the north connected with Yushu and Guoluo in Qinghai is called Kangqu. Specifically, it includes: Changdu area in Tibet, Diqing prefecture in Yunnan, Ganzi prefecture in Sichuan, Yushu prefecture in Qinghai and the southeast line of Naqu.
3. Amdo Tibetans:
The traditional region of Amdo Tibetans refers to the vast area northwest of Qingshan Mountain in Anima and west of Xiaojingshi Mountain in Hexi Corridor of Gansu Province. The center of Amdo Tibetans is from Mount Animaqing to Qinghai Lake.
4. Ministry of Industry Tibetans:
The Tibetans of the Ministry of Industry mainly live in Linzhi area of Tibet today, with Jiangda and Linzhi of the Ministry of Industry as the center.
5. Jia Rong Tibetan:
Jia Rong is located in parts of Danba County and Kangding County in Ganzi Prefecture, parts of Jinchuan, Xiaojin, Marcand, Lixian, Heishui, Hongyuan and Wenchuan in Aba Prefecture, and parts of Ya 'an City and Liangshan Prefecture.
6. Baima Tibetans:
Baima Tibetans mainly live in Baima River Basin, Tielou Township, Wenxian County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, and Pingwu County and Jiuzhaigou County, Sichuan Province. Their customs, culture and religious beliefs are different from those of Tibetans in other areas.
7. Muya Tibetans
An ancient and mysterious Tibetan tributary lives in the plateau area of Ganzi Prefecture. Tibetans in Muya area of Kangqu (between Zheduo Mountain and Yalong River in Ganzi Prefecture) are also called "Muya Tibetans" because of their unique language and customs.
8. Huarui Tibetans
Huarui, which means heroic region or tribe, is the hometown of white yak. Huarui in history refers to the northern part of Huangshui River and the eastern part of Hexi River, including Ledu Beishan, Huzhu, Menyuan in Qinghai, Tianzhu in Gansu, Sunan Imperial City and other Tibetan areas.
9. Zhuocang Tibetans
Tibetans living in Ledu, Ping 'an, Huangzhong and other counties in Haidong, Qinghai call themselves "Zhuocangwa" and live in Fiona Fang 100 km.
10, Sherpa
Sherpas, meaning "people from the East" in Tibetan, are mainly distributed on both sides of the Himalayas except China, Nepal, India and Bhutan.
