1. Featured services supported by featured databases

With the appearance of digital resources, in order to adapt to the service transformation and development of professional libraries, professional libraries are facing the adjustment of resource structure and layout, and the construction of digital resources has become one of the key tasks of professional libraries. Professional libraries mainly build a unique digital resource system through the group purchase of professional literature databases and the establishment of characteristic databases, and realize the characteristic services of professional libraries. Based on the literature resources of China Chemical Information Center, it has developed and designed a large number of retrieval modules of scientific and technological literature resources, and opened up a variety of network service modes, so that readers can obtain the most needed information in the shortest time. China Professional Library has organized different forms of thematic literature information navigation service websites and established thematic (vertical subject) portals to help users grasp the development status, resource characteristics and information acquisition ways of various hot science and technology fields as a whole. For example, with the support of NSTL, member units have organized portals such as nano-science and technology information portal, cognitive science information portal, water resources information portal, renewable energy, food and nutrition, environmental protection technology, AIDS prevention and control, and agricultural three-dimensional pollution prevention and control.

3. Personalized customized service based on theme

Personalized service is the main form to realize the service value of modern professional libraries. The main content is to carry out literature information service according to the specific needs of researchers or projects. At the present stage of the development of professional libraries, it is more necessary to organize and strengthen active literature information services in combination with the needs of users, and organize subject librarians to actively enter the working environment of scientific researchers. In this regard, the National Science Library of China Academy of Sciences has made a useful attempt and achieved remarkable results. In order to promote the professional literature information service for the front line of scientific research, the library tries to establish a subject librarian system, and set up subject librarians in the fields of energy, information technology, space technology, advanced materials and advanced manufacturing, micro-nano, resources and ecological environment, population problems, agricultural science and technology, marine science and technology, and explore the development of subject services. China professional libraries have carried out a large number of information analysis and reporting services in their respective disciplines. After reorganization and integration, the National Science Library of China Academy of Sciences re-planned the digital library service website, adopted the user-centered service concept, improved the digital document information support ability of the front line of scientific research, established the evaluation standard of user service effect, and improved the user's ability to retrieve and obtain information by establishing an embedded user environment and integrating the electronic resource system and service system.

(2) Integration of literature information service and scientific research process. In order to meet the needs of integrating into users' information environment and scientific research process, the National Science Library of the United States has developed a "personal desktop information tool", which enables users to choose topics, data or problems they care about at any time in the process of browsing the web, editing files and exchanging emails, and automatically access the comprehensive service system of the library in time, and link corresponding service functions according to users' characteristics and process requirements.
