What are the disadvantages of buildings made of paper?
Civil bricks, reinforced concrete and other building materials will not appear in cardboard buildings. The form of cardboard house usually adopts various forms of folded dome or spherical shell, which can make cardboard support its own weight and give full play to the properties of materials.
Paperboard building has both advantages and disadvantages, the most prominent ones are that it is easy to burn and not resistant to moisture, and its sound insulation performance is unstable. The inherent defects of cardboard material make it difficult to compare with masonry concrete. So far, cardboard buildings can't be used as permanent houses.
In order to overcome the problem that cardboard is flammable and easy to get wet, a variety of experimental studies have been carried out scientifically, and finally many effective measures have been found, such as adding a composite coating of glass fiber and resin on the surface of cardboard to make it more tough and waterproof.
