Suits are naturally the traditional costumes of westerners, but why have they become the mainstream costumes in modern life?

This is from three aspects.

Second, culture and aesthetics. At the beginning of the 20th century, with the popularity of movies and newspapers, movies and newspapers representing western culture naturally spread to costume aesthetics in the western world. Western-style clothes became fashionable and sought after by people, so modern clothes with western elements as the core became popular.

Finally, and most importantly, western-style clothing is more practical in modern life, and it is easy to be popularized among working groups. With the accelerated pace of life, western-style clothing eventually completely replaced traditional Chinese clothing.

China's traditional beautiful Hanfu was eliminated because Hanfu only conforms to the lifestyle of agricultural society, and it is difficult to match the life of industrial society. Think about what it would be like to take a bus and squeeze into the subway in a long-sleeved nightgown. It's really inconvenient. In addition, the modeling of Hanfu and its corresponding traditional etiquette system have not adapted to the values of modern society. In a word, the social environment of wearing Hanfu no longer exists, and it can only be regarded as a cultural relic.
