What is Wuxi Su Miao

Sumiao is located in the central area of the city of Wuxi, close to Huaqing Bridge in the south, Qianqiao Street in the west, Nanchang Street in the north and Jiangyin City in the east. The village of Sumiao derives its name from an old temple within its territory, which has been abandoned and only some remnants of the temple remain.

Sumiao Village is a traditional agricultural village in Wuxi City with a long history and culture. Su Miao Village used to be an important commercial center in Wuxi City, with thriving bazaars and stores. Sumiao Village is also an important industrial base in Wuxi, with several state-owned and private enterprises, such as Wuxi Iron and Steel Factory, Wuxi Electric Machinery Factory, Wuxi Chemical Fiber Factory and so on.
