Feng Mantian's Personal Information
Feng Mantian, born on March 13, 1963, is a Chinese Zhongruan (Ruan) and Yueqin (Yueqin) player, national-level performer, Ruan instrument improver and maker, and restorer of traditional Chinese culture.
He is a master of plucked instruments from all over the world, and on behalf of the orchestra, he has visited Switzerland, Russia, Austria, the United States and nearly 30 other countries, and has performed at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, the Salzburg Music Festival, the Lucerne Culture and Arts Center in Switzerland, and the Festival Theater of Tyrol in Austria, among other world-renowned art centers.
In 1967, at the age of 4, she studied violin with the Russian violinist Bachyev. 1969, at the age of 6, she studied moonchord with her father, the Chinese master of the moonchord, Feng Shaoxian. 1978, she was admitted to the Central National Orchestra as a soloist of the moonchord and Zhongruan player, and 1982, at the age of 19, she participated in the first National Ethnic Instrumental Competition on behalf of the Ministry of Culture through a strict selection process, and won a prize for her performance in the competition. National Instrumental Music Competition and won the performance award.
