Introduction of scenic spots in Xihe ancient town

The scenic spots of Xihe ancient town are introduced as follows:

Xihe Ancient Town, namely Xihe Old Street (Xihe Village), is located in Hongyang Town, Wuhu County, Wuhu City. It was named after the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 700 years. 20 14 was included in the third batch of traditional villages in China. Xihe ancient town is a natural water transport terminal, with extremely developed commerce in past dynasties and an endless stream of businessmen coming from south to north. From Wuhu County, drive 33 kilometers south along Wanxi Highway to Qingyi River, and then cross the river by boat.

Today's Xihe Old Street is 665 meters long, which is not only a street in Shenyang, but also a dike. Due to the continuous construction of flood levees, the street surface has been increasing, making the houses and shops on both sides slightly lower than the current street surface. Most of the houses in the old street are traditional Huizhou architecture with cornices, gray walls and black tiles, and various colors. In their eyes, the old street is the eternal home and the eternal memory in their hearts.

The ferry in Xihe ancient town is a must-see for tourists. It used to be the only place where merchants gathered in the land and water market. The upper and lower steps built by hundreds of bluestones are polished as smooth as a mirror. Due to the steep slope, it is necessary to pay attention to anti-skid when walking from top to bottom. Looking up from the bottom of the dock, the feeling of vicissitudes is carefree.

Above the city gate, a watchtower and pavilion similar to the city gate were built with blue bricks and gray tiles. The words "Xihe Ancient Town" inscribed by Liu, president of the Provincial Painting and Calligraphy Institute and member of the China Calligraphers Association, are engraved here, which is the best place to take photos here.
