Significance of pulse taking

Pulse diagnosis, also known as pulse-taking, is a diagnostic method that Chinese medicine presses the patient's artery by hand according to the pulse condition to understand the internal changes of the disease. Pulse diagnosis has a long history, which reflects the characteristics and experience of TCM in diagnosing diseases.

Pulse-taking, which used to describe the condition of doctors looking for patients, now describes the cause of the problem.

Pulse can tell whether the heart, liver, kidney, lung and other organs are yin deficiency or yang deficiency. By taking the pulse, we can know whether the relationship between organs in the human body is coordinated, which organ is responding, and whether it needs to be supplemented with nutrition or nursed back to health.

The principle of pulse diagnosis is holographic theory in modern scientific terms. One inch of qi and blood can correspond to the whole body's qi and blood, so the whole body's qi and blood can be deduced by one inch.

In fact, not only an inch, an ear, a hand, an organ and a cell can also be regarded as a microcosm of the whole body, all of which have diagnostic value.
