Three elements of qigong practice

Three elements of qigong practice are the basic skills of qigong exercise, first of all, we must master the three elements of practice, that is, the idea (adjusting the heart), respiration (breathing), posture (adjusting the body), which is the key to practicing qigong.

Adjusting posture

Adjusting posture for practicing qigong is aimed at helping one to enter into stillness, and natural, relaxed posture and movement are prerequisites for practicing qigong, as relaxation of bones and muscles of the whole body, and a natural and comfortable posture can enhance the function of the internal organs of the body, and adjust the operation and distribution of qi and blood in the human body, so it is necessary to maintain a certain posture when practicing qigong, and different gong methods have different requirements for posture. The different gong methods have different requirements for the posture of practicing gong.

Requirements for body conditioning: wide clothing, comfortable and natural. There are four types of postures: walking, standing, sitting and lying, and the commonly used ones are sitting, lying and standing.

Sitting style: divided into flat sitting style (square stool), leaning sitting style (chair), scattered sitting style (on the ground), sitting style and so on.

Generally choose a wooden chair or stool that is suitable for high and low (feet should be on the ground after sitting down, knees and chairs are flat), the body is upright, hips are flat, the torso is perpendicular to the legs, sit steadily on the stool, the head is slightly lowered in the front, legs are separated, and the distance between the two feet and the width of the two shoulders is equal. The two knees are bent at 90°, the soles of the feet on the ground, the two joints are naturally bent and relaxed, the palms of the two hands are placed downward on the two thighs, the two eyes are lightly closed, with a faint glimmer of light showing, the eyes are looking at the tip of the nose, the intention is to abide by the Dantian, the ears are as if they don't hear, the mouth is naturally closed, and the breath is breathed through the nose.

Horizontal: there are two types of supine and side-lying style

① supine style: the human body to take the supine position, head and neck upright pillow on the pillow, pillow height is appropriate, shoulder pads under the height of 10cm cotton pads, so that the head and the upper body into a slope height, to maintain a smooth breathing, the whole body muscle relaxation, the two legs naturally flat and together, the two toes upward, the two upper limbs naturally straightened, placed on the outside of the two legs, the ear, Eyes, mouth, nose and sitting with the same.

Eyes, ears, mouth and nose are the same as above.

Standing: there are natural style, three garden style, lower press style.

Generally, you can choose a place with fresh air and quiet, and take the upright posture. The head should be straight, legs apart and shoulder width, knee slightly bent, two arms slightly bent in front of the abdomen, palm down or inward; or placed on the chest such as hugging the ball, the distance between the two hands is about 3cm, in order to be comfortable and natural and not force to the degree.

Walking: walking arms swinging back and forth, before the mo abdomen, after the waist, and with a method of breathing. There are two steps and one breath, two steps and one inhalation method.

Adjusting posture is the first step of qigong exercise, incorrect posture will directly affect the effect of practicing qigong, so the former pointed out that: "the shape is not correct, the gas is not smooth, the gas is not smooth the intention is not peaceful, the intention is not smooth the gas is disorganized". Emphasizing the importance of posture, beginners should pay particular attention to this point.

Breathing

Breathing is consciously adjusted to control the breath, a breath for a breath, the main purpose of the breath is to adjust the heart, "the breath adjustment is the heart fixed, the heart is fixed the more adjusted breath," is the heart of the breath is dependent on each other. Adjusting the breathing is a bridge to a state of tranquility, most of the qigong techniques are to adjust the breathing to start with, and only by adjusting the breathing skillfully can we reach the depth of practice and achieve satisfactory results. This is why the ancients had the saying, "Breathing is clear, but immortal".

Adjusting the breath is closely related to the thoughts of the mind into the quiet, soft and long breath, helps the spirit of relaxation and tranquility, and the process of adjusting the breath with consciousness is to make the thoughts, thoughts of a single, exclude the distractions and the process of the quiet. The basic requirements for regulating breathing are fine, quiet, even and long. With the increase of the depth of practice, gradually to do without sound, in and out of the sheep. The first practice requires natural, do not force fine, quiet, even, long, but slowly from sound to no sound, from short to deep long, in addition to choosing fresh air, dry, wet, cold and warm moderately warm environment, nasal inhalation mouth exhale or nasal inhalation nasal exhale can be. Nasal congestion, the two thumbs can be used relative to the inter-fish rubbing hot, gently rubbing both sides of the nose until the heat ventilation; or thumb and two fingers rubbing Yingxiang points, such as is still not available, can also be used to mouth to mouth inhalation, but the mouth can not be opened, only open a small slit.
