The historical event of Zheng Chenggong's expulsion of the Dutch colonizers and his recovery of Taiwan in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties. In the fourth year of the Ming Dynasty (1624), the Dutch colonial army invaded Taiwan. Qing Shunzhi 18 years (Southern Ming Yongli 15 years, 1661), the national hero Zheng Chenggong rate of 25,000 soldiers, hundreds of ships, from Xiamen, through the Kinmen, Penghu, to Taiwan Woliao port landing, in the Gaoshan people's strong support, recapture the "Red Embedded City", routed from the Dutch reinforcements from Batavia, in the next year on February 1, forcing the Dutch Governor Kuiyi, who was the only one of the Dutch colonialists in Taiwan, to return to Taiwan, and the Dutch colonial army to take over. On February 1 of the following year, the Dutch Governor Kuiichi was forced to surrender and recovered the island of Taiwan, which had been in decline for 38 years.
