Do Tajiks intermarry with other nationalities?
Tajiks belong to Europa-Indo-Mediterranean type, and their national language is Tajik, including two dialects, namely, Lecouls and Wahan, belonging to Pamir branch of Indo-European Iranian language family.
Tajiks mainly live in Central Asia, mainly in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and other countries and regions. Tajiks in China mainly live in Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County, Xinjiang.
The ethnic origin of Tajiks can be traced back to Iranian-speaking tribes in the eastern Pamirs several centuries BC. These tribes were distributed in many places south of Tianshan Mountain in China in the early years. 1 1 century, Turkic nomadic tribes collectively referred to the Iranian-speaking and Islamic-believing peoples in Central Asia as "Tajiks". Later, "Tajikistan" gradually became the national self-name of the people in this area. Historically, Tajiks who have lived in vast areas of Xinjiang since ancient times and Tajiks who moved eastward from the western Pamirs and settled in Tashkurgan in different periods are the ancestors of Tajiks in China.
