Dragon Boat Festival Zongzi Weaving Course
1, Step 1: Find a piece of cardboard and cut it into strips, about seven or eight centimeters long. This varies from person to person. If you like a smaller one, you can cut it narrower. If you like a bigger one, you can also cut it wider.
2. Step 2: Fold the cardboard into equal squares, take a gel pen and draw a dotted line (all equilateral right triangles).
3. Fold a line along the dotted line first, and you can fold it into the shape of zongzi. Choose a colored thread and stuff one end into the cardboard zongzi. The thread turns around the edge of the cardboard zongzi for about 6 times. Cut the thread short, and then put the new end under the thread just wound. Repeat this way, the lines can choose their own colors. A beautiful handmade zongzi is ready!

According to folklore, Zongzi is eaten to commemorate Qu Yuan, and it is said that Zongzi was handed down to commemorate Qu Yuan who threw himself into the river. Zongzi, as one of the traditional foods with the deepest historical and cultural accumulation in China, is widely spread.
It is said that after Qu Yuan entered the Miluo River, the people all sighed and mourned, and Qu Zi, whose ambition was not rewarded, left the State of Chu in this way, which was really a national disaster. Therefore, in order to prevent fish and shrimp from eroding Qu Zi, people throw rice into the river one after another, hoping that fish and shrimp will only eat these rice grains without damaging Qu Zi's body.
In Jin Dynasty, Zongzi was officially designated as Dragon Boat Festival food. At this time, in addition to glutinous rice, jiaozi also added Alpinia oxyphylla, and the boiled jiaozi was called "Yizhi jiaozi". Rice is mixed with the meat of rare animals, chestnuts and so on. And there are more and more varieties. Zongzi is also used as a gift for communication. Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Myanmar and other places where Chinese people live together also have the custom of eating zongzi.
Zongzi not only has many shapes, but also has different varieties. Due to the different tastes in different parts of China, there are mainly two kinds: sweet and salty. Sweet dumplings include white dumplings, red bean dumplings, broad bean dumplings, red date dumplings, rose dumplings, melon seeds dumplings, red bean paste lard dumplings, jujube paste lard dumplings and so on. Salty taste: pork jiaozi, ham jiaozi, sausage jiaozi, shrimp dumplings, diced pork jiaozi, etc. But there are more pork dumplings.
