What do foreigners eat at Christmas?

Americans eat turkey, gingerbread, pudding and root cake at Christmas.

In America, Christmas dinner is very rich. All kinds of delicious food are full of color and flavor, which makes people feast their eyes, so it is also called Christmas dinner. On the dining table, orange slices in yellow circles express good wishes. Roses, walnuts, cinnamon and brightly colored fruits are traditional table decorations for Christmas. The main course of Christmas dinner is an indispensable traditional dish-roast turkey. In the eyes of westerners, there is no Christmas dinner without roast turkey.

Some westerners are used to putting a whole roast suckling pig on the table of Christmas dinner, while British and Americans like to put an apple in the pig's mouth. This habit may come from some big families, because only big families can eat a pig. Later, some ostentatious people followed suit when they invited guests at Christmas.

There are usually plums, puddings and minced meat pies for dessert after dinner-British and American people think they will be lucky after eating these foods. In the United States, there is also a special food in Christmas dinner-roasted corn porridge with a layer of cream and some fruits on it, which is sweet and delicious.
