Why should we do TPM management? Is there a TPM management case?

First, the definition of TPM

TPM is called total production maintenance in China, which is the maintenance workflow and daily "cold-proof medical technology" of production site equipment. Its purpose is to improve productivity.

TPM makes equipment maintenance and repair a daily work in factory management, and it will not be considered irrelevant to production. Maintenance downtime is scheduled as part of the working day and will not be considered as a phenomenon of waiting for production. In some cases, TPM can even be regarded as an integral part of the production process. This is to minimize the losses caused by unexpected situations and unplanned maintenance work.

Second, TPM small case.

Company A is a printing enterprise, mainly engaged in packaging corrugated boxes, screen printing and traditional offset printing. Two years ago, the company introduced a set of automatic needle-jet printing equipment, which really played a great role in the highly competitive printing market. The top management of the company decided to introduce a few more.

Later, the joint venture project negotiated by the company with an overseas company encountered unexpected problems. The other party raised a lot of "unacceptable" questions about the company's factory management: the equipment is too dirty, the equipment is always out of order, the maintenance personnel are as busy as a bee, and the employees are on standby.

In the terms of cooperation, investors insist on "introducing modern TPM" as a necessary condition and write it into the contract text. At first, the management of the company felt that the other party was a bit "nosy". "Just have the goods for you, what do you care!" The company manager thinks these things are too unnecessary. What is the relationship between unclean equipment and manufactured products? However, in order to cooperate smoothly, the company readily agreed. A few months later, the company did these "meddling". After that, there was a feeling of being reborn.

Because the equipment is scrubbed every day, its faults are reduced and the enthusiasm of employees is improved; Due to the daily inspection of equipment, several employees have more equipment knowledge than maintenance workers. As soon as they heard the abnormal noise, they knew where the fault was.

After this incident, the company decided to vigorously promote TPM in the whole factory.
