Ten characteristic rural vocal music, through ancient and modern times; Based on tea, it has a lasting fragrance.

When ancient literati lived in temples,

I often yearn for rural scenery.

So will people in downtown now.

From time to time, I yearn for mountains and rivers far away from the city.

Or take time off to experience farm life.

Chaji village is such a magical place.

It's hidden in the bustling downtown,

Run his own water town.

Walking into Chaji Village is like coming to a water town in the south of the Yangtze River.

There are jagged houses on both sides of the river bank.

Strolling through it,

There are century-old banyan trees everywhere,

This ancient ancestral temple witnessed the changes of this ancient village.

An ancient well runs between buildings,

Has a hundred years of precipitation.

Chaji Village, located in Guicheng, Nanhai District, is an ancient village built in the Ming Dynasty. Speaking of the history of the tea base, the local villagers relished that during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, He's ancestors led their people from Huaping Village of Huangding Temple to pioneer here, and after several generations of hard work, it became a village. The village was originally an island surrounded by water. Because people planted "local Pu 'er tea" to protect the dam, they got the famous tea-based sand, which was later connected with the land and called the tea-based square. After liberation, it was called tea town.

Time has endowed Chaji Village with unique charm.

With a history of more than 600 years,

People can't help walking through deep alleys.

Like a treasure hunt,

Looking for its hidden surprises.

Sansheng temple

Sansheng Palace is the earliest temple built in Chaji Village, which was built during the Qianlong period of Qing Dynasty. 19 15 was destroyed by flood, and 19 17 was rebuilt. It is called "Sansheng Palace" because it is dedicated to Guanyin, Beizhen Emperor and Tianhou.

There are two schools of Buddhism and Taoism in history. Why should there be a school of Buddhism and Taoism in Sansheng Palace? According to legend, floods, storms and diseases often occur here, and the people rely on the gods to bless them. Guanyin Bodhisattva helps people to eliminate disasters, the true emperor of the North is in charge of the water body, and the empress Tianhou is in charge of the wind and rain. Therefore, using these three statues as temples, people can pray for good health and good weather here.

Panda plays "Fan Shi Musical Instrument" with both hands.

The old and the new get along well here,

In the old building,

Deduct the breath of modern art.

Speaking of tea base, people have to mention He Guangyi's "Fan Shi". Fan Shi, which is dominated by tea, is a kind of folk gongs and drums music with strong local characteristics. According to legend, Fan Shi ancient music originated in the Tang Dynasty and spread in the north. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, ten artists from Jiangsu and Zhejiang moved south to the bustling ancient town of Foshan to make a living and spread their skills, and ten artists spread here.

The so-called "ten times" means to knock out ten songs in turn with ten musical instruments and ten styles of play. He Guangyitang's Fan Shi instruments can be divided into two categories: traditional instruments and special instruments. The cymbals, sorghum gongs, heart-warped gongs, sand drums and group drums come from local eight-tone gongs and drums. The rattle is a conch used by fishermen and a conventional musical instrument. Special musical instruments include Fan Shi drums and flying cymbals.

One of the most acrobatic percussion instruments in the decathlon is called "flying cymbals", that is, gold cymbals are tied with several feet of long ropes, dancing with both hands, flying up and down, bumping each other's heads, making a clear, crisp and pleasant sound, and the dance is rich and natural.

Fan Shi, which is based on tea, has absorbed the playing style of flying cymbals and the common musical instruments of local eight-tone gongs and drums, and closely combined them with folk activities. It is often performed on the Dragon Boat Festival, Chinese Valentine's Day, Mid-Autumn Festival and other folk festivals, as well as the birthday of the gods and "autumn colors". The scene is spectacular, sonorous and lively, and there is even a saying among the people that "ten times is not autumn". In 2008, "Ten Tea Fans" was selected into the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

Dragon boat race is a traditional folk activity in Chaji Village. Every year, the Dragon Boat Festival lasts for 5 days, and the dragon boats in each village go to Diejiao 15 natural village to pray for good weather, peace and prosperity.

The first Cup Dragon Boat Race was held in 1996. Since then, a dragon boat race has been held in the river in front of the village every year on the eighth day of the fifth lunar month. In Chaji Village, "Dragon Boat" has become a collective social ceremony for Chaji people to pray for good luck. In the evolution of generations, there is a set of established rules, from starting a dragon, Youlong and sailing, to washing dragon boat water and eating dragon boat rice.

On the day of dragon boat race, there were first performances such as Youlong, Fan Shi on the water and dragon dance on the water. Then, more than a dozen dragon boats gathered in each village competed around the narrow river and staged a "water rafting" to attract tens of thousands of people to watch. After the race, the dragon boat teams also splashed water on each other to celebrate the victory.
