How to address women in English?
The most common words we use to refer to women in English are Miss, Madam, Ms, Mrs, and so on. But there are other words that are also commonly used in spoken English and slang, such as: Mistress, girl, dame, female, broad and so on.
1. Miss is often used in conjunction with the last name, capitalized, to indicate an unmarried young lady. For example:
Miss Smith is an unmarried lady.

2. lady is often used in formal English, and has the following uses;
(1) An honorific title for a woman, translated as Ms., Mrs.. For example:
When we speak to a lot of men and women we start with "Ladies and Gentlemen."

Also, in American, you can say "Come this way, lady." which translates as "This way, ma'am." In British English, you can say "Please come in, madam." which translates to "Please come in, ma'am."
(2) It refers to upper-class or aristocratic women, educated women, for example:
Because she has a rich husband she lives like a lady.
3. Madam is a more respectful title for women, especially for older women, and is used more often in letters and stores. The word is often abbreviated to ma'am, for example:
May I help you, Madam?
Madam, may I help you? Or: May I help you, Madam?
4., Mistress hostess, housewife, female employer, etc. Mistress is often abbreviated to Mrs., and is used in front of a married woman's husband's name or first name. Translated as "Mrs. ......." For example:
Mrs Smith Mrs. Smith.
5. girl is often used in informal English, especially in American, and can refer to married or unmarried women in a positive sense. For example:
Jean Smith? Yes, she is a local girl.
Jean Smith? Yes, she is a local girl.
