Who is the author of Home?
The author of Home is Ba Jin.
Ba Jin (November 25, 1904 - October 17, 2005), whose real name was Li Yaotang, Chinese character Fu Gan, and whose pen names, in addition to Ba Jin, included Wang Wenhui, Ouyang Jingrong, Huang Shuhui, and Yu Yiyi, was a contemporary Chinese writer.
In May 1933, the long novel "Home" was published by the Kaoming Bookstore, which depicted the evils and decadence of a large feudal family.
Influence of the work "The Family"
The mode of telling family stories in "The Family" is very typical of Enlightenment discourse, and it served as an extremely strong model for the creation of subsequent family novels. Criticism and complete rejection of the traditional family system and feudal rites also became an enduring and powerful theme of such novels.
Like Duanmu Hongliang's The Grassland of the Horqin Flag, Lu Ling's The Sons and Daughters of the Wealthy Master, Mao Dun's Frosty Leaves are as Red as February Flowers, and Lao She's The Teahouse and Camel Xiangzi are all of this kind, and the structural pattern of the father-son dichotomy in The Family has been inherited to a greater or lesser extent.
