What is local art?

The field of "local art" is very wide, which is a classification of the art field. It is different from the so-called "palace art" and "aristocratic art", and it is an art form rooted in the people. Such as: shadow play, paper cutting, weaving, embroidery, lion dance and so on. There are many "unique skills" in local art. The existing China Local Art Association in China was established in 1994, which is a formal national first-class association directly under the Ministry of Culture. The purpose of the Association is to develop local arts in China, revitalize national folk arts in China, promote international cultural and artistic exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad, and carry forward the traditional culture of the Chinese nation.
