What are the symptoms of food poisoning?

Food poisoning can be divided into bacterial food poisoning and non-bacterial food poisoning, and bacterial food poisoning is more common.

Symptoms:

Food poisoning has different symptoms due to different kinds of pathogenic bacteria, such as abdominal pain, vomiting and diarrhea. At the beginning, the poisoned person has symptoms such as headache, dizziness, fatigue, drooping eyelids, dilated pupils, blurred vision, diplopia and strabismus. In severe cases, there may be difficulties in chewing, swallowing and breathing, as well as choking, hoarseness or aphonia and ataxia. Generally speaking, gastrointestinal symptoms are mild, including nausea, diarrhea and bloating.

Treatment measures:

After food poisoning, people who are mild should stay in bed, temporarily fast, and lose electrolytes and water due to vomiting and diarrhea. Therefore, they should drink more light salt water or light vinegar water and take antibiotics such as berberine or norfloxacin orally to control intestinal infection.

If you have difficulty breathing, remove foreign bodies in your mouth in time to keep the respiratory tract unobstructed. If there is respiratory arrest, artificial respiration should be carried out in time.

Those who are seriously poisoned should be sent to the hospital as soon as possible. Before or on the way to the hospital, if the patient has cold sweat, cold limbs, blue face and other shock manifestations, the patient should lie on his back, raise his lower limbs as much as possible, and cover the quilt to keep warm. After arriving at the hospital, he will tell the doctor in detail about the disease and the leftover food. In case of collective poisoning, it shall promptly notify the health department for quarantine.

Preventive measures:

(1) Strictly disinfect kitchen utensils to prevent flies and insects from biting and crawling. Raw and cooked food and processing tools must be separated.

(2) Do not eat spoiled food, and wash raw fruits and vegetables.

(3) Don't eat in restaurants with poor sanitary conditions.
