How to treat China's traditional morality scientifically?

A: We must adopt a critical and inherited attitude towards China's traditional morality. From the viewpoint of historical materialism, China's traditional morality is mixed. Among them, there are both positive and innovative aspects; There is also a negative, conservative and backward side. There are both democratic and feudal aspects. There is a side that transcends the times and transcends the class; On the other hand, it is restricted by the times and classes. Generally speaking, China's traditional morality can be roughly divided into three different situations: one is complete dross; The other is the essential part; There is also a mixture of essence and dross. In the first case, our attitude is that we can only criticize, not inherit. Because these morals directly reflect the feudal relations of production and hierarchy, the economic basis on which these morals are produced and served has lost its historical inevitability today. For the second case, we can't accept it unconditionally, but should analyze it in detail. We should endow these essences with the new meaning required by the times with the attitude of historical materialism. For the third case, that is, the interweaving or even integration of traditional morality with obvious essence, we need to carefully identify and digest it.
