Brief introduction of Wang Yongchao Museum
The museum highlights the architectural style of Ming and Qing gardens, and plans to build different functional areas with different characteristics, which are specifically divided into: ancient town tour area, folk culture exhibition area, intangible cultural heritage demonstration area and folk culture research center. The main construction includes the relocation of 40 courtyards of ancient houses in Ming and Qing Dynasties, folk exhibition halls, exhibition halls, galleries, cultural relics warehouses, theaters, shops, craft workshops, research centers, artificial lakes, altar squares, and garden landscapes.
Since the middle and late 1980s, more than 33,600 pieces (sets) of stone carvings, wood carvings, brick carvings, Guanzhong ancient dwellings, people's production and life, customs and habits, celebrity calligraphy and painting have been collected and protected, and nearly 1,000 ancient dwellings in Ming and Qing Dynasties in 40 courtyards have been collected and protected. A large number of intangible cultural heritages have also been collected and sorted out. It constitutes the collection scale of nine categories, such as folk art, Guanzhong dwellings, folk customs, celebrity calligraphy and painting, and reflects the historical features of folk customs, folk arts, folk customs and people's feelings of people of all ethnic groups in Guanzhong area in different historical periods from different aspects. In particular, more than 8,600 exquisite wooden stakes tied to horses, which enjoy the reputation of "Terracotta Warriors and Horses on the Ground", are the most eye-catching, greatly enriching the treasure house of China folk stone carving art, filling important contents for the cultural heritage of the Chinese nation, representing the embodiment of the strength and beauty of China folk culture in past dynasties, and being the historical witness of multi-ethnic survival and cultural exchange and integration in Guanzhong area of northern China for thousands of years, forming the gene bank and specimen bank of national culture.
The completion of the museum will fill the gap in the large-scale exhibition, education and research base of excellent folk culture in China, and become a national cultural heritage protection, exhibition and research base, film and television shooting base, patriotic education base and national cultural industry demonstration base, which will certainly play an important role in promoting Shaanxi cultural resources, extending the cultural industry chain and accelerating the development of tourism economy.
