Understanding of the Three Silk Roads

The three understandings of the Silk Road can be divided into three stages: the Silk Road on land, the Silk Road on the sea and the Belt and Road (Network Silk Road) in the network age. The specific understanding is as follows:

1, Silk Road Stage on Land:

This stage originated from Liang Wudi's attack on the Huns, and then captured the Hexi Corridor and the Western Regions in Gansu, completely opening up the Silk Road. When the Tang Dynasty reached its peak, the Anshi Rebellion in the Tang Dynasty began to decline, and the Song and Yuan Dynasties declined. The core way of production and life in this era is to connect all parts of the world through land passage and the flow of people, goods and culture.

2. Maritime Silk Road stage:

This stage originated from the Anshi Rebellion in the Tang Dynasty. After the rebellion was put down in the Tang Dynasty, shipping in the south of China gradually developed. By the Song and Yuan Dynasties, maritime trade had developed greatly. During the Ming Dynasty and Judy's period, China's marine activities reached their peak, which completely opened a worldwide marine era. However, due to internal problems in the Ming Dynasty, after Judy's death, Chinese civilization broke away from marine activities.

The core production and lifestyle of this period (the whole stage of the Maritime Silk Road) is to connect all the areas on the islands in the world with all the land on the earth through the ocean. The Maritime Silk Road will realize greater, more and faster personnel, trade and cultural exchanges. Expanding the field of human contact and communication to the whole world has raised the level of human communication to a higher level.

3. The "Belt and Road" (Network Silk Road) stage in the network era:

The core production and lifestyle of the Silk Road stage of the Internet is to connect people all over the world through ultra-long-distance information and data transmission, and at the same time give great empowerment to agriculture, animal husbandry, industry and commerce, ocean and other activities, so that these traditional production and lifestyle can be qualitatively improved and the overall development of human productivity can be greatly promoted.

At the same time, the global exchange of information and data will enable all mankind not only to realize indirect cultural exchange and integration by using commodities, capital and culture, but also to gradually connect different societies and even everyone in the world by using remote data and information transmission, and finally realize close contact and exchange of all mankind.

Road Map of the Silk Road on Land:

The Silk Road in Desert Oasis is the main road of the Northern Silk Road, with a total length of more than 7,000 kilometers, which is divided into three sections: east, middle and west. The eastern section from Chang 'an to Dunhuang is relatively stable relative to the central and western sections, but it is divided into three lines to the west of Chang 'an:

1, the northern line starts from Chang 'an, along Weihe River to Guo County (now Baoji), across Jixian County (now Longxian County), across Liupanshan Guyuan and Haiyuan, along Zuli River, and crosses the Yellow River in Jingyuan to Guzang (now Wuwei). It is an early route with short distance and poor supply conditions along the way.

2. The southern line starts from Chang 'an, along the Weihe River, passes through Longguan, Shangguan (now water), Didao (now Lintao) and Bao Han (now Linxia), from Yongjing to the Yellow River, and passes through Xining. The bigger the bucket, the more Guyue (now a ferry) to Zhangye.

3. The central line and the southern line branch off in Gao Shan, cross Longshan, go to Jincheng County (now Lanzhou), cross the Yellow River, go back to Zhuanglang River, and turn Wushaoling to Guzang. Although the southern line has good supply conditions, the detour is long, so the central line later became the main line.
