What are the characteristics of Erjiaxian?

Erjiaxian is a kind of folk opera, whose lyrics are not written by literati, but come from rural oral language, which has strong local characteristics and is deeply loved by the masses. Its lyrics are rhyming, and the ending is comic rhyming. Sometimes, function words such as "Na, Ya, Hi" are attached to set off the singing, making it easier to sing.

Erjiaxian's performances are mostly about rural themes, and its repertoire is almost full. Its basic repertoires are: the curtain, the second act, the rushing off, the basket carrying, the flower wall, the blue bridge, the card holding, the loom, the revolving horse, the sun card.

These plays are mainly popular folk stories. Such as "The Curtain", that is, Liang Zhu meets through the curtain. Holding a sign is He Wenxiu's private visit, and the loom is the second half of Qin Xuemei's mourning.

In addition, there are a considerable number of small plays in folk life, among which clown plays account for a certain proportion, such as seven mistakes, playing the old road, playing plum blossoms, playing the city god, playing the noodle jar, playing the blind, persuading the poor, three martial arts students to get off work, tying dolls and so on.

Erjiaxian's unique skills include Wang Xiaoxin's New Year's Eve, Playing the Old Road, Eating Bacon, Selling Straw in the Tang Dynasty, Rummaging through Boxes, Poor Advice, Rich Advice and Jia Jinlian's Turning the Horsehead, etc. There are Kangfuai, Chaozhu and Flowers on the Sea transplanted from Shandong Bangzi.

Erjia County Qupai absorbed minor tunes such as Yellow River chant, boat song and rammed song, as well as music such as Big Ben, Drum Ci, Flower Drum and Yangko, and absorbed nutrition from sister arts such as Luo Opera and Henan Opera, forming a musical system with ingenious conception, complex rigor, delicate lyricism and comic artistic style, such as hairpin, shovel minor, Sichuan tune and boat song.

Er Jiaxian's lyrics have two different structural expressions. The first one is an up-and-down sentence structure with 7 sentences and 10 sentences as the main structure, with rhyme feet "spreading upward and leveling downward" and the next sentence rhyming. In this structural form, there is also a long and short sentence structure with variable number of words. Although the lyrics of this structural form are still up-down sentences, the arrangement and rhyme of sentence patterns are not strict, and the echo of overlapping sentences is not necessarily symmetrical.

Another structural form is the doll sentence with "332" structure. This kind of figure of speech is homophonic except for the fourth sentence and the seventh sentence. The third sentence is "Ping, Ping and Xu", the middle three sentences are "Xu, Ping and Xu" and the last two sentences are "Xu and Ping". In practical application, this requirement is not very strict.

The language used in Erjia County is southwest Shandong dialect. Compared with Putonghua, its phonology is basically the same, but the four tones are obviously different, and the lexical titles are not the same.

Two-string accompaniment instruments, known as the "three big pieces" in traditional musical instruments, are four strings, pendant and Qin Liu. Sixian is the leading musical instrument in the accompaniment of Erxian Wenchang, which is made of wood. Its string body is divided into nine parts: string, string column, daughter, string horse, string barrel, supporting plate, python skin, bow rod and ponytail.

The harpsichord is one of the main instruments of the "three big pieces" of two stringed instruments. Soft timbre, compared with the four-string form, complement each other. In the early days, it was an octagonal wooden barrel, but now it is round copper.

Pipa is also one of the main musical instruments of the "three big pieces" of Erjiaxian. The plucked instruments are rich in colors, and their sounds are in harmony with ukulele and piano pendants. * * * together constitute the sound core of Erjiaxian accompaniment band, which is an important embodiment of the musical style of this play.

In addition, the Erxian Wenchang musical instrument is also equipped with sheng, flute and sanxian. Later, cello, violin, electronic organ, dulcimer and erhu were added. Percussion instruments are the same as Shandong Bangzi.

The musical form of Erjiaxian is different from martial arts field and literature field. There are usually four to eight people in the literary field, and the instruments used are mainly ukulele. Pianists often wear metal finger sleeves to press strings, and their timbre is powerful.

The most important thing in martial arts music is the drum, which is the commander-in-chief of martial arts music, and can also play hand boards, side drums and hall drums. Cloud gongs, wooden fish and cymbals are rarely used, and there is generally no special person, but those who operate the big gongs and cymbals play separately, and the suona is played by those who play stringed instruments.

The facial makeup of Erjia Line has absorbed the plastic arts of facial makeup of Peking Opera, Shandong Bangzi and other operas, which can be roughly divided into white face, red face, black face and Erhua face. Er Jiaxian's "red face" facial makeup sometimes doesn't hook her face in the performance.

The basic vocals of Erjiaxian are the big board and the second board. In addition, there are three styles: Sanban, Bates, doll, goat, roller, hairpin, decapitation, planting board, crying Maike and so on.

Accompaniment instruments are mainly Hu Si and Liu Yeqin, supplemented by Erhu, Banhu, Sanxian and flute. Percussion instruments are the same as Beijing Opera. In singing, except for the old students who are influenced by the high-pitched bangzi and use the "two tones", the young students mainly use the true voice, and the falsetto is used at the end, which keeps the characteristics of traditional singing.

Erjiaxian is a kind of drama that focuses on singing and wins by singing.
